Fortune Block/Times Change

Main Street (1882). Another Winnipeg institution--Times Change High & Lonesome Club (now with burritos). Excellent place to watch live music, and a pretty cool building to boot.

What, no pictures of the Fat Angel?

Meh. I was never a fan.

My sarcasm font was turned off. Actually, wouldn't mind seeing the Fat Angel dynamited, and a new Blue Note Cafe built in it's place. That would be awesome. Wishful thinking.

I can't remember--was the Blue Note ever in that space?

I would love to see them reopen--anywhere. If only they could learn to control the rats.

My memory is a little foggy too, but I think it was in that space.

The Blue Note was there, before it moved to Portage (near Arlington).

What a pathetic collection of comments! This is a heart and soul joint that any city with any taste would love to have. And the Blue Note was where the Fat Angel used to be. The Times Change was there all along. It evolved into the Times Change(d) High & Lonesome Club a dozen years ago, and is one the very best intimate live music venues in the entire world!
