St. Charles

St. Charles

Notre Dame Avenue (1913). The corner of Notre Dame...one of my favorite places to take photos in the city. Too bad, though, about the gaping parking lot kitty-corner to the St. Charles. Of all the surface parking lots in the city, this one's the most frustrating. There really should be something great at this site.

That wouldn't happen to be the parking lot in front of the Walker, would it?

I did a city planning contest project on that parking lot, calling for a 15+ storey apartment building to replace it.

Yeah, that's the one. It provides one of the most beautiful views of the city, and it's a parking lot. Ridiculous.

Residential would be fantastic. Anything would be fantastic.

Hey, did you do City Planning at the UofM? I did Architecture a few years back...
