The Bay At Night, In The Cold

Portage Avenue (1926).

These shots were taken on a bitterly cold December evening. While setting up one of the shots a 20-something male approached me and asked if I got paid for doing this work. When I told him no, he walked away, confused and a little horrified.

I read somewhere that 23 buildings were demolished in order to build Portage Place in the 80`s. All t revitalize downtown (heard that one before?) Hardly seems worth it now. Last time I was there it both depressed and scared the hell out of me.
