Federal Building

Main Street (1935).

If you've been following this blog for a while, you've probably figured out by now that I have somewhat of a thing for this building. It's true. Over the years I've developed quite a crush on the Federal Building.

I love this photo.

That's my favorite building. Always makes me think of Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead.

I have never seen an interior photo of this building. Does the art deco theme extend inside?

Good question; I've never been inside.

I did a paper on this building and got to take a tour of it a couple months ago. Almost all of the floors are newly renovated office spaces. However the lobbies on all floors, and the 9th and 10th floors (If I remember correctly) are pretty much as they were when it was first built. I'll post some pictures up on my flickr if anyone is interested.
